CAMPAIGN

Digital / OLV / Social

To celebrate The New Yorker’s 95th anniversary, CNX launched its first-ever ad campaign: The Right Question Changes Everything. The campaign spotlighted iconic journalism by writers like Ronan Farrow, Jia Tolentino, and Malcolm Gladwell, championing the magazine’s signature editorial approach—asking the right questions. Digital CTAs drove to a paywall-free homepage, giving readers full access to featured stories.

“Losing Religion and Finding Ecstasy in Houston”

By Jia Tolentino

This film reflects on Tolentino’s internal reckoning with religion, drugs, and music as she comes of age in Houston, listening to DJ Screw in a megachurch parking lot. Originally published in Trick Mirror, the piece comes to life here through Tolentino’s own voice.

“From Aggressive Overtures to Sexual Assault: Harvey Weinstein's Accusers Tell Their Stories”

By Ronan Farrow

This piece chronicles the harrowing experiences of women who survived abuse at the hands of one of Hollywood’s most powerful figures. In this film, we chose to amplify the voices of the survivors—shifting the narrative away from the predator and toward the bravery and resilience of the women who risked everything to come forward. Farrow’s investigation became a cornerstone of the #MeToo movement and later appeared in Catch and Kill, the book and podcast.
